Pay it forward by sharing your professional experience

One of the special outcomes of Coming Back Together (CBT) weekend was the connection and camaraderie experienced between alumni and current students. Since the reunion, many alumni have reached out asking how they can continue to encourage students moving forward.

Whether you attended CBT or not, please consider sharing your experiences and your expertise with a current student through the Our Time Has Come (OTHC) mentoring program. Alumni and students are matched according to career interests, and mentors provide guidance on an individual and informal basis.

Many OTHC Scholars are first-generation college students or come from families with limited professional experience. OTHC mentors guide students in areas such as networking, securing internships, creating a professional resume or evaluating job offers.

While mentors are sought in all fields, there is a particular need for working professionals in the areas of engineering, medicine, public health, journalism (broadcast, magazine and television, radio and film), illustration and finance.

You can make a difference in an individual student’s life. To learn more about the OTHC mentoring program contact us, or to sign up, complete the form at this link https://multiculturalalumni.syracuse.edu/connect/othc-mentor-application.php
